The first Large Scale Interactive Media Arts Exhibition “Body Movies in Hong Kong” was held from 10 - 19 November 2006 at the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui. It is a part of the official programmes of The Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum 2006 organised by the Home Affairs Bureau. Created by world renowned artist Lozano-Hemmer, “Body Movies in Hong Kong” is an interactive media arts installation that has received awards and exhibited in major cities such as Rotterdam, Linz, Liverpool, London, etc. It is the first time for this interactive installation to be exhibited in Asia Pacific region since its inception. The work was presented with projected images on the walls of Hong Kong Museum of Art and MTR’s Ventilation Shaft. Local elements were brought to the artwork with the participation of a group of 8 local renowned photographers. A seminar “Media Arts in the Contemporary Society” was held before the Exhibition Opening at the Lecture Hall of Hong Kong Space Museum. Speakers of the seminar included Eddie Berg from England and Won-il Rhee from Korea.
